Fallout 4 Fan Makes Massive Tower Without Using Mods

An extremely dedicated Fallout 4 player uses the post-apocalyptic RPG’s settlement customization tools to create a massive tower without using any mods.

A YouTube user and Fallout 4 player going by the name of Jug has completed quite the impressive feat in the PlayStation 4 version of Bethesda’s wildly popular open world title by building a giant structure that he calls the Tower of Eden without the help of cheats and console commands. Instead of whizzing through the process of making such an imposing edifice like a lot of PC players would be able to do with mods, Jug painstakingly laid the groundwork for the high-rise piece by piece.

Built at Abernathy Farm, the structure is completely self-sufficient, and reaches the maximum height for the location, which is incredibly tall, since the area has the highest limit available to any settlement in Fallout 4. The exterior and interior are immaculately developed, with the outside resembling the handiwork of a seasoned post-modernist architect, and the inside’s grand hall coming close to a museum-lover’s dream.

Obviously, Jug has a preternatural understanding of the way Fallout 4‘s settlement customization system works, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to create such a well-designed piece of architecture. For those fans who wish to get a complete rundown on all of the tricks of the trade the YouTuber used, the video below provides an in-depth explanation of his process, and it is definitely well-worth the watch.

In the past, there have been plenty of fan-made structures in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic RPG that went on to garner praise after their construction, such as SeraphinFoad’s giant Fusion Core Fortress, of which definitely deserves the admiration it received, if only for its sheer size. Then, there was the wonderful nod to one of the most recognizable buildings in Fallout 3 with Kadno’s recreation of Tenpenny Tower. And while both are decidedly fantastic, it’s worth noting that they were built with the assistance of mods, unlike Jug’s seen above.

With Fallout 4 fans being such a talented and creative bunch — Girl Plays Game’s BioShock-themed settlement should be proof enough — there’s truly no telling what kind of craftsmanship we’ll encounter next. At any rate, a lot of folks would argue that Jug has definitely set the benchmark for settlement creation at the highest rung possible.

What do you think of Jug’s Tower of Eden in Fallout 4? Is it the best structure you’ve seen thus far, or is there another one out there worthy of such praise? Let us know your thoughts and share your finds in the comments below.

Fallout 4 is out now and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
