Although Rockstar Games hasn’t officially announced it yet, Grand Theft Auto Online‘s Adversary modes are rewarding fans with double the normal amount of RP and cash right now. The increased bounty includes the Executives and Other Criminals update‘s newly added Extraction mode, which has teams hunting or rescuing VIPs from a crashed jet.
Grand Theft Auto Online fans should hop on this now, because the double Reputation and cash deal will more than likely only last through the weekend. If players are diligent enough, perhaps they’ll be able to save up enough cash to buy the Super Yacht that developers recently included for purchase in the game.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Rockstar Games has rewarded Grand Theft Auto Online fans with extra incentives to jump into GTA V‘s multiplayer. The studio’s addition of Freemode Events a few months back has kept players engaged and then some. And in addition to the aforementioned Executives and Other Criminals update, Rockstar recently put together its most interesting mode yet, with the bare-bones Every Bullet Counts mode, which pits players against one another in a confined space with a limited amount of ammo.
Undoubtedly, Rockstar Games is looking to keep fans coming back for more with Grand Theft Auto Online, and the decision to give out double the RP and cash will definitely ensure a steady drove of players for as long as the rewards are available. And since the open world title’s story DLC doesn’t look like its coming out any time soon, the studio’s stellar support for the multiplayer modes has definitely helped GTA V remain one of the most popular and talked-about games since its release more than two years ago.
Several months ago, a Take-Two Interactive financial report listed Grand Theft Auto V as having 220 million copies shipped since becoming available, and with Rockstar remaining committed to bringing updates to the game’s multiplayer, it seems as if those numbers will continue to rise. Not to mention, GTA V will undoubtedly be receiving a price cut sometime in the near future, so those patient gamers among us will be laying down their money for a copy of the title, adding further revenue to the release.
With so much content and so many different ways to enjoy the Grand Theft Auto Online, it’s no wonder why fans keep booting it up again and again. Bearing that in mind, it’s definitely arguable that Rockstar has crafted its finest product thus far with GTA V.
Grand Theft Auto V and its multiplayer component Grand Theft Auto Online is currently available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
