With BlizzCon 2016 in full swing, it’s no surprise to hear plenty of updates from Blizzard about World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm and its other titles. With this year marking the 10th anniversary of BlizzCon, it’s fitting that the developer would have something special to share with World of Warcraft players.
That special announcement is an upcoming update, Patch 7.2, which will introduce tons of new content into World of Warcraft. The patch, termed The Tomb of Sargeras, will include a new raid, the continuation of the Class Order Campaign, and plenty more goodies for World of Warcraft players.
Concerning the Class Order Campaign, the story will continue with players taking the fight to the Broken Shore. As Blizzard puts it on the World of Warcraft website, “Where factions failed, the Class Order will succeed.” Each player class will continue their campaign by helping build the Legionfall base and establish a foothold on the island. From there, they’ll need to work through Burning Legion’s defenses to eventually reach and take down the stronghold.
Naturally, players will need to work together to accomplish this goal. World of Warcraft has always rewarded good team work among players, even those who may have previously been enemies. With Legion threatening both Horde and Alliance, it’s time for players to band together against a common foe and rid the world of the Burning Legion.
In addition to the Class Order Campaign, players will have access to a new raid, the Tomb of Sargeras. Players will need to acquire the fifth Pillar of Creation from the NIghthold, then delve into the depths of the Tomb of Sargeras. The new raid comes with nine new bosses for players to defeat. As players progress through the raid, they’ll need to seal the portal that Legion is using to enter Azeroth.
Patch 7.2 will also give players a new dungeon: Cathedral of Eternal Night. It’s been some time since Blizzard has introduced a new dungeon in World of Warcraft, so the inclusion will be a welcome addition for many players. While players are descending into the depths of the Tomb of Sargeras in the raid, those doing the dungeon will be tasked with ascending the spire of the Cathedral to take on enemies hidden away within.
Patch 7.2 includes many other additions, including Artifact updates, PvP brawls, updates to flying on the Broken Isles, and Legion assaults. While the patch has been announced, there’s currently no release date set for the update. Prior to 7.2, Blizzard plans to release Patch 7.1.5, which will tackle a handful of fixes along with some other content. Patch 7.1.5 is planned for the PTR servers soon. Patch 7.2 will arrive on the PTR servers sometime after the release of 7.1.5.
World of Warcraft Patch 7.2 is set to release soon for PC.
