It’s no major secret that the developers for the Call of Duty franchise have given many popular athletes and celebrities roles in several of the long-running series’ games, with former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch and actor Kevin Spacey being just a couple of prime examples. With this being the case, it should come as no surprise to fans that Activision and Infinity Ward’s forthcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will feature numerous stars from the world of sports, television, and cinema.
Now, according to recent reports, the world champion F1 racer Lewis Hamilton is set to join the ever-expanding cast of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as a character in the game, as evidenced in the renowned athlete’s tweet below. However, it remains to be seen exactly how much impact his role within the forthcoming first-person shooter will have on the plot line of its single-player campaign.
It's awesome to think I'll be a character in @callofduty! Be sure to check out #InfiniteWarfare this November!
