With Bungie having finally released Destiny: Rise of Iron, plenty of the action-RPG’s fans are undoubtedly spending their time checking out all of the new gear, exploring the expansion’s different areas, and taking on fresh missions, such as the add-on’s quest to acquire the Year 3 Gjallarhorn. Of course, beyond all of the surface-level materials found within the game, it should come as no surprise that Guardians are scouring Destiny: Rise of Iron for its hidden secrets and Easter eggs.
With that being the case, Destiny: Rise of Iron‘s fans ought to delight in the recent discovery from the YouTuber known as TheAssyrianGamer who has found that the expansion’s Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow holds a little Easter egg all its own. While it’s definitely not earth shattering in any sense, as it has no impact on the gameplay, it’s safe to say that Guardians will come away impressed by Bungie’s attention to detail.
As seen in the video from TheAssyrianGamer below, while riding around in Scablands on the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow, the player goes on to toot the transport’s horn, which triggers the Easter egg into action. Should one listen closely, they will occasionally hear a pack of wolves howling in the distance to echo the blast of the Sparrow’s horn instead of the single wolf that typically responds to the call.
By no means is this particular novelty in Destiny: Rise of Iron a major addition to the game, but it’s definitely a subtle touch that fans will be able to appreciate. Of course, it’s a far cry from the Master Chief helmet Easter egg found in the action-RPG a couple of years ago just after its launch, but still, it’s nice to see Bungie adding even more depth into the latest expansion with fun little details.
With the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow’s horn Easter egg being among the first tiny secrets to emerge from Destiny: Rise of Iron, it will be interesting to see what other hidden trinkets crop up as players put more effort into the expansion. Of course, once the Wrath of the Machine raid releases later in the week, Guardians will probably come across at least one or two concealed treasures during the course of gameplay, but their unveiling will come about in due time.
Beyond Destiny: Rise of Iron‘s Easter eggs, there are also undisclosed achievements to be unlocked, such as the Sing the Iron Song secret. Taking all of these seclude treats into account, there are bound to be even more found along the way as Guardians continue to explore all that the newest add-on has to offer.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
